Using Translation

The County of San Mateo has added a translation feature developed by Google Translate to assist web visitors in understanding information on this website in a variety of foreign languages. Please be aware that Google Translate, a free third party service which the County does not control, provides automated computer translations that may not give you an exact translation. The County cannot guarantee the accuracy of translations through Google Translate so translations should not be considered exact and only used as a rough guide. Anyone relying on information obtained from Google Translate does so at his or her own risk. The County disclaims and will not accept any liability for damages or losses of any kind caused by the use of the Google Translate feature.

County Center Employees – Join the Sustainability Department in maintaining a healthy, clean and beautiful County Center campus while getting your steps in for the day! Stop by the Courtyard between 10:30am -12:30pm for an Environmental Fair and participate in the 30-minute cleanup from 11:30am -12:00pm. Following the cleanup, we will raffle SMC Parks Day passes and Sustainability Department baskets with eco-goodies to those who participate in the cleanup and have refreshments available.

Visit a table from various environmental and health-related efforts from multiple County Departments and programs: Flowstobay, San Mateo County Tobacco Prevention, San Mateo County Parks and Recreation, Sustainability Department, and County Employee Wellness.

Date and Time: Tuesday, May 7th, 2019 from 10:30am-12:30pm (The cleanup will take place from 11:30am-12:00pm)

Location: Courtyard outside 455 County Center, Redwood City

Schedule for the event:

  • 10:30am-12:30pm: Environmental Fair with tables from County Departments and programs

  • 11:00am-11:30am: Check-in for cleanup participants

  • 11:30am-12:00pm: Cleanup and walk around County Center led by OOS staff

  • 12:00pm-12:30pm: Raffle and refreshments

Please check in for the cleanup between 11:00am-11:30am at the Courtyard to receive cleanup materials. The cleanup walk will take place from 11:30am-12:00pm.

We will provide cleanup materials including gloves, buckets for trash, recycle, and cigarette butts, and vests to those who register. Please register by Monday, May 6th here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MDCJMZW
