Description: My YCA project is focused on the topic of energy extraction and consumption. In my project, I plan to target a school and spread awareness about the energy consumption issue. After I have educated the student community, I plan to gain their support in implementing a project that will make the school more energy-efficient, such as installing timer switches or switching from fluorescent bulbs to LED lights and help reduce its energy consumption. I am also working with the current president of the RCSD Board of Trustees to add solar panels to schools in Redwood City.
